
The study comprised of 2 components. A retrospective component which investigated spectacle uptake in the eye clinics in the Johannesburg Metro Health District and a crosssectional component to assess spectacle satisfaction among a subset of subjects.
The study set out to:
- determine the spectacle uptake of the 10 eye clinics in Johannesburg Metro Health District
project from 1 June 2016 to 31 May 2017, in terms of sex, age, location, type of refractive
error and type of spectacles dispensed - assess spectacle satisfaction among patients who attended the 9 eye clinics in GSG project from 1 June 2016 to 31 May 2017
- assess association between spectacle satisfaction with sex, age, location, time of visitation, type of refractive error and type of spectacles dispensed.
